    I thank David Gillett for pointing out that not only are
two modems required BUT ALSO two telephone lines must be
used to implement MLPPP for greater speed without going to
ISDN.
    So the article in PC World entitled "Faster for Free"
made two mistakes.  First, it omitted mention of needing two
telephone lines; Second, an extra telephone line costs you
money every month, hence it is not Free.  PC World is not as
infallible as some people would like to think.
