I have given up trying to burn CDs using Adaptec and have successfully used
Ashampoo's MP3 Studio 2000 but that seemed to develop a glitch that I can't
seem to resolve. I have tried using 2 additional programs to burn music to
CDs. On both of these programs, I was able to burn all of the tracks to the
CD but they will not advance from one track to the next but only continue to
play the same track over again. This occurs on both CD roms and on my
regular CD player. Not sure what I have done or what I need to do to fix
it. Have looked through PCSoft's archives for a similar problem but could
not locate anything. The default player on my computer is Winamp. Any
thoughts out there? Thanks

Hi Charlie
I gave up on Adaptec after the first try with it. I now use 2 different
programs for burning CDs, MusicMatch Jukebox and Nero Burning Rom 5.0. Both
are excellent programs and I have never had a single problem. The reason I
use both is because I often use 80 minute blank CDs but MusicMatch will only
allow you to create a playlist that will fit on a 74 minute CD, so I use
Nero for 80 minute CDs. MusicMatch is free, but the free version only allows
you to burn at 1x and 2x burning speed. If you want to get faster
performances you have to buy the upgrade for $19.99. Nero is not free and it
costs $49.99, but as far as I'm concerned it is worth it. It is a great all
around burning program that will burn audio and data CDs, and will allow you
to copy from CD to CD. I use it a lot more than my MusicMatch.
