Hi,
I have a Win98 came along with PentII 350 I purchased  two month
ago...
Lately the instance that I'm having difficulty dealing with is
the "shutdown" task..When I try to shutdown Win98, it will close
all the programs and prompts me to "Windows 98 Shutting
Down" and then it stays that way forever (never go off).

-  When I experienced this problem, it was caused by WIN98's fast
shutdown routine.  The first MS KnowledgeBase article below gives
instructions on disabling the fast shutdown.  If that doesn't
work, try the second article.
