Darlene

I just went through a similar problem - hang-up on startup and shut down
with Windows 98 installed over Windows 95. You can go to help
troubleshooting and there is a category for this problem. Caution: The only
problem, It then corrupted my registry, put me in a pseudo safe mode without
drivers for the printer and almost everything else. I used Microsoft's Web
Response system and got suggestions that got me back on line somewhat, still
working on it. Good Luck!
