You may already know this but go to programs from your Start menu, then
choose accessories, then entertainment, then CD player. With win 98 you can
keep a file of CD's you like to play and pick a certain playlist from each
CD once it is inserted. (Put your speakers or headphones in the CD headphone
slot, unless you have hooked up the cable from your CD rom to your
soundcard).
