Just wanted to follow up on a series of posts I made to PCSOFT & PCBUILD.
First, I couldn't get on the web. The fixes I attempted left me with only an
A: prompt. Well, to make a long story short, I got things back to pretty
normal. The initial problem apparently was caused by something with McAfee
VirusScan. Not sure whether it was a setting I did or didn't make, but once
I got the computer back running, and then uninstalled VirusScan, I was able
to surf once again with AOL and IE.

As an aside, I was at CompUSA buying McAfee Internet Security(?) when another
guy in line commented that there were compatibility problems with McAfee.
Yup, I know. But, I figured I would see how it would work, and saw no harm
in having another virus program for my computers. He approved when I told
him I have Zone Alarm Pro waiting to be installed. But that's another post.
