My purpose is not to guess which editor created the page.

The purpose is to see the differences in the TECHNIQUES and the STYLE (not
CSS) of how a page is built.  Each graphical editor accomplishes the task in
a slightly different manner.  As you pointed out, Netscape uses NBSP to move
the graphic image left or right.  GoLive constructs dummy images called
blank.gif (I think).  Front Page uses the DIV STYLE tag to accurately place
the image by using the x,y coordinates of the corner of the image.

I keep hoping that Mr. Hains will provide us with one or two of the URLs he
claims to have constructed, but he seems to have withdrawn from this
conversation.
