I received this same message on Monday (took me 6 hours to fix) and then again
Wednesday.
I can stop it if I remove my sound card (which has nothing to do with what the
Microsoft article states).
The problem is with my software somewhere, I reloaded windows, and everything
else on my machine and still get the error. I can fix it but then after I
restart my machine (after fixing the problem) it comes back. I think it has to
do with plug & play because after I get the message and go into safe mode, I
notice that all my sound card devices show up in duplicate.
If anyone else knows a fix or something else to try I would be interested.
(I also tried it with another hard drive and it works fine, can reboot with no
problems)
