Greetings:
The above mentioned modem specifically states that the phone jack used
must be for an ANALOG phone line. However, our service is DIGITAL. They
further state the modem will be damaged if DIGITAL is used. I'm able to
send and receive on the Internet, however if I leave the jack connected
to my computer, and disconnect from the Internet all incoming phone
calls are never received. When a incoming call is placed the phone never
rings and on the sending end there is static and other noise. Two
questions -
What is the difference between ANALOG and DIGITAL?
2. What must I do to correct the problem short of purchasing another
modem, and based on your recommendation are there digital modems?
THANK YOU for your time, GOD Bless!!!!
Warm regards,
Mike Davin
