Has someone here had experience with the 'Filmstrip' feature in WinXP?

I have an XP customer who uses Paint to produce drawings and sketches, but
when he attempts to print them out, the result isn't the full page he
created, but it's compressed into a narrow vertical strip.

(I should say here that it's only my assumption that the 'Filmstrip' feature
has anything to do with this distortion, as it's an option in the 'View'
menu for those folders that are associated with images, along with Large
Icons, Small Icons and List etc. I've reset the default to List in these
folders, but that didn't help.)

I reset the associations for bmp's and jpg's to open in Paint, instead of
the built-in XP photo editor, but nothing changed.

I've also deleted and reinstalled Paint, as well as the HP656C printer
drivers - no change.

All he wants to do is create a drawing in Paint, and be able to print it out
full size.

All suggestions gratefully received.
