If you decide to go with an external case I would recommend the Samba. I 
tried two others that had problems before a Fry's salesman told me the Samba 
was the best and he was right. It has connections for both  IDE and SATA 
HDs. It is high quality and everything fit perfectly. The drive is held in 
place with four screws, it has a good stand that securely fastens to the 
case and it was the least expensive. I think it was $32 and the others were
