Mary, many new computer makers are offering WordPerfect instead of WORD these days and WordPerfect does not have the spell checker. You might check out this "patch."

Subject: [PCSOFT] question
Good morning.
Got this site from the PC Lady and have a question. I just bought a new Dell XP Home and discovered it does not include spell check. First of all, I can't inagine ANYONE selling computers today NOT including it. I admit I am anal about my spelling and am somewhat desperate to include this. Is there anything short of paying another $600 for Office I can do to fix this? Had I been aware it was not included I would have chosen another brand.
Thanks for your help.
Mary
[log in to unmask]

The NOSPIN Group Promotions is now offering
Mandrake Linux or Red Hat Linux CD sets along
with the OpenOffice CD... at a great price!!!
http://freepctech.com/goodies/promotions.shtml
