The safest way is to boot into Dos and then delete all files in the
windows/temp folder, as they are not required/shouldn't be there
when you boot to DOS. The most often cause of numerous junk
files is in-proper shutdowns from power failures, lock up,etc.
(I use the deltree c:\windows\temp command to totally remove the
folder, when windows starts up it recreates the folder).
