What I do in a case like this , is to get the "Open With" (you can do this
by double-clicking on an unassociated file) pop-up and click once on the
program I think might work with it. I then click on the "Always use this
program to open this file" to uncheck the check box, then hit ok. If it
doesn't open it properly, you haven't permanently associated it with this
file and you can try other programs. Most .jpg files open with Internet
Explorer or Netscape Navigator, as a default, I believe.

I enjoy collecting and saving cartoons. Recently I got a few I can't open.
Message reads: file has no program associated to perform. Create assoc. Go
to My Comp., View, Fold. Opt. Great! I'm there. Now what? I don't
understand the options or the consequences of choosing. Have assorted
suffixes: .asp, .jpg, .gif, etc. Please simplify answer. Very newbie.
