Jeanette, I can't offer any suggestions about getting W98's download manager to work. But have you considered using an independent download manager? I'd suggest giving GetRight a tryout - it's an excellent downloader, which will resume a broken download - even between restarted Windows sessions.

  Subject: [PCSOFT] Downloads

The window that announces a download and asks what I want to do with it has disappeared. I haven't changed any settings to my knowledge, but in my last 50 downloads I have seen the window asking whether I want to open it or save it to disk only once. I am running W98. Would appreciate any guidance. Thanks in advance
