Hi Pam,
This is a result of the tagging of your e-mail by the AVG E-mail Scanner.
You can change this by turning off the certification of incoming and
outgoing e-mail in the E-mail Scanner properties in Control Center. This
does not affect the scanning of e-mail, only the certification. In most
cases, the recipients of your e-mail will also see the attachment symbol.
I recommend not installing an anti-virus e-mail scanner as it only slows the
process of sending and receiving e-mail. The Resident Shield of an
anti-virus program will prevent you from opening a file containing a virus
arriving by e-mail as well as by other means.

Subject: [PCSOFT] Outlook Express problem
My Outlook Express has suddenly been putting a paper clip beside nearly
every mail that comes in. Is this a setting I can turn off? I thought the
clip was just to notify that there was an attachment, but this isn't the
case, and it's annoying. Does anyone know what to do about it or why it is
happening?
Thanks,
Pam Pedersen
