This one has me thinking that I may be going crazy!
I have a folder called C:\temp. I save most things there and then cull
periodically. Checked the folder yesterday and found a file called
tempvt.exe with a date of Oct 2001 and a file size of 28k. Even though I
have Norton AV installed I knew better than to open it without finding what
it was. So I checked Google and found several references to it but nothing
definitive as to what it really was. One website made a vague reference to
a virus. So I checked Symantec (Norton AV) and McAfee. Nothing. So I
deleted the file. Then I checked my C:\temp folder and it was gone. Then
I checked the recycled bin and it was there. I did not empty the recycled bin.
That was last evening. This morning I checked the recycled bin and it was gone!
Then I checked my whole computer and it was gone!
Am I delusional? Help!
Thanks in advance for any insight.
