Thank you all for the info regarding DSL and not being able to fax... I
still have the old modem-internal 56K, just didn't ever want to see it
again!  I think I will look in to E-Fax--assuming that is an option.

No you can't fax with a DSL line. You need to connect your Voice
telephone line to your prior modem.
