On startup my wife's computer, a Micron, 733 MhZ with 128 MB Ram running Win98SE, the following dialog boxes appear, sometimes one of them, sometimes both:
1) C:\WINDOWS\StartMenu\Programs\Startup\mssg.exe
Windows cannot open this program because it is in an invalid format.
2) "Mssg"
"This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down."
I click on details and the following is shown:
"MSSG caused an invalid page fault at module MSSG.EXE at 017f:0041ec10"
After this a long list of registers and other info is listed.
Sometimes she also gets this item: Msgrsv32 (not responding). This may come when she does a ctrl/alt/del (not sure).
Would very much appreciate some help on this. Thanks much.
