Not for the "Pro" version, it booted off the CD. I don't know about the "Home"
version that is now pre loaded on PCs in stores.

I suppose, the install I did was with NTFS.
I can tell you that there's a bunch of stuff I don't like about either version
so far. I'm sure I'll get over it like with all the previous OS releases from
MS <g>.
One thing that I had to struggle with was printer mapping. When I changed the
port of the mapped printer it made the change on the machine that has the
printer attached to it, of course that messed everything up for the whole
network.
