Hi Mike,
I suggest your daughter consider using the Files and Settings Transfer
Wizard in Windows XP. She can transfer settings for Internet Explorer,
Outlook Express, Display, etc., and files like the My Documents folder. All
she would need is a DirectParallel cable to connect the two computers. Most
computer stores will have them for around $10 or less.
Have her go to Start Menu / Help and Support and search for "Direct
Connection" and "Files and Settings Transfer Wizard" for information. Also,
here is a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

Subject: [PCSOFT] transferring email
Clear DayMy daughter needs to transfer email files from a computer running
Win98 SE, without a CD burner, to a computer running WinXP Home Edition.
Can someone provide a step-by-step method to do this?
Thanks,
