I don't know about the pdf deal, but one invaluable extension is "Open
in IE" for those pages that don't work in FF.
I've just downloaded the Beta of IE7, which includes many FF features,
seems very stable and is getting good reviews.

I can open it just fine but it almost seems like it freezes up when trying to go back and therefore closing the pdf. Is there an extension for this?
