I have an HP LaserJet 2200D with 16 MB buffer memory. When my system burps
the print command (from any program) to my printer, there's no stopping it
from then on but to shut down the printer power (and waste at least 2 jammed
pages) then respond to an error message on the screen to "Cancel Print
Job." The other way is to do what Lewis does below. The bottom line though
is, whether successful or not in stopping the printer you know that you
already have wasted pages of paper when this happens.
