Thanks for the help on this disapearing recycle bin. Heres what worked:

Tweakui put the Recycle bin back on the desktop as did the registry entries
recommended. This Recycle bin icon is the correct one and right clicking the
items gives me recycle bin options ie restore. Alls well here, but

The recycle icon in Windows explorer (C:\recyled) looks like a regular folder and
does not have any recycle bin properties or funtionality. The file list inside
does not list the proper file names, they are some type of code.

Can't seem to get these back properly.
