  Well, you need some space for it on the server.  Some ISPs include
that with their basic service, others charge extra for it.
  In our case, our ISP has things set up so that ftp.ourdomainname
points to the same server directory tree as www.ourdomianname, so I can
use FTP to upload the site files to the server.  Your ISP may or may
not do things that way.
