Hi Jo,

First, if you click on the "[log in to unmask]" in any e-mail from
the list, you will get a new e-mail preaddressed to the list and all you
have to do is enter a subject, your question, and send it. This will work
for any e-mail address that is a hyperlink in a document.

On to your question. I think this occurs when the picture has been
cut/copied and pasted into the e-mail. You can prevent this by always
sending pictures as an attachment. You might try this: In your Outlook
Express, go to Tools \ Options \ Send tab and click on the "HTML
Settings..." button. In the window that pops up, insure the box by "Send
pictures with messages" is checked. This (red X) occurring with received
e-mails has to be corrected by the sender.

Also, on the Security tab under Virus Protection, I have selected "Internet
zone" and unchecked the box by "Do not allow attachments to be saved or
opened...". Virus protection is the job of my Anti-Virus program, which it
does well.

Can anyone in the group explain to me how I continually get only a box
and/little red X in my emails? How can I remedy this situation? Even
when I send pictures out to friends the same thing occurs. I do not have a
check mark on the 'send and recieve all' page. Jo Hagen

however when I am online after between 30 and 45 minutes I cannot use
internet explorer at all but am still connected and can use instant
messenger for as long as I want so the connection is still there.

gone into internet options, connections, settings, advanced and made sure
the time in there was not only 30 mins or something like that and have set
it at the maximum of 59 mins but it hasnt made a difference. Is there some
other setting that I need to check. It is very frustrating like now when I
am typing this letter to you till I press send I dont know if all will be
lost.
