I was over a friends house, and he showed me an Icon
in his Systray (Win98) that when we hovered over it
the text box popped up the said
"System Request from ICQ Server".
Right clicking brought a dialog box to connect or not,
or something.
When he shuts down, he gets a warning about messages
not being "gotten?" or something... (Bad description I know...)
Sorry if this is a little vague, but he is 300 miles from here.
I have never seen or used ICQ, and neither has he.
He had never even heard of it, and has no kids.
Only he and his wife have access to the computer.
What do we look for to see where this came from?
Could it be some part of a worm or Trojan?
Thanks in advance, Rick Glazier
