Is this the Win98 SE upgrade or full version? If upgrade, no problem, just
install. As best as I remember, if full version, you can insert the CD and
if it autostarts, it will tell you it is a newer version do you want to
install over the current version or something like that as an option as you
begin the install procedure.

You just can not go backwards, e.g. Win95 over 98, Win98 Gold over Win98 SE,
etc.

However, I personally believe, if the full version, it is best to install
clean, i.e. after a format of the hard drive.
