Since Linux and Windows do not share the same partition, they can be used on
any system. Linux needs to be installed FIRST on the drive and the boot
loader allows you to select between the two. This is where Partition Magic
comes in, it will allow you to resize the partition where Windows is
installed (either NTFS or FAT32) and format the free space for Linux,
including the swap file space. Then it is just a question of simply dropping
the first disk in the CD ROM drive and installing the new OS. There is a

Also, It is VERY important to follow these instructions to the exactly.
Putting Windows second on the drive renders it invisible if Linux is not
installed properly, so once you have committed yourself to this venture,
follow through to the end.
