Marvin,

On my install of Word 2007, the numbering works as expected. To change the
style of numbering, click on the little arrow to the right of the numbering
button and chose from the available options. If this is what you are already
doing and it does not work, then there may be a problem with your
installation of Word, or with the NORMAL.DOT file.

trying to number a list of items, and want to use 1.2,3, but for some stupid
