I'm familiar with the procedure to format, partition, and reinstall an operating system using a Win98SE disc as I had a hard drive failure in my laptop and I physically replaced it myself and then reinstalled everything.
My friend's desktop needs to be reformatted and brought back to a new condition, but he only has a "restore" disc. Do I treat this restore disc any differently than a full operating system disc? I am particularly worried about the drivers needed to get his computer working properly again.
Thanks for your prompt reply.
