Here's a question for the Novell experts on the list:
My PC will not bring up the Netware login prompt on a cold boot. In other
words, I will only get the Windows login prompt when turning the PC on.
Once Windows is fully loaded, I must go to network properties and make a
change in the settings (then undo the change) so that, after clicking OK,
Windows prompts me for a re-boot. Upon rebooting I will get the Netware
login prompt and all is OK. This happens every time the PC is turned off
and then on again.
I have removed and reinstalled the Netware client several times. At one
time, the network login process worked fine and the only "event" that I can
remember is installing Office2000, then uninstalling Office2000 and
re-installing Office97. All other aspects of the system work perfectly and
I have not, to my knowledge, changed any of the network settings or
protocols. Here is my system info:
Gateway Solo2100, 150Mhtz, 56mb RAM; Windows98 (clean install),
Office97(sr2), Netware 2.5 client connecting to Novell 4.11.
Any help on this one will be most appreciated!
