Hi Group,
For some unknown reason I am no longer able to access all of my hotmail
accts using Outlook. Up to a week ago I had no probs, but now I can only
access the default acct only. Any additional accts are inaccessable. Here is
what I have tried.
1.Deleted all Pop3 accts created in Outlook and recreated them. Again only
the 1st acct actually works.
2. Uninstalled OE5 and reinstalled.
3. Upgraded to OE6 w no install problems.
4. Contacted hotmail tech support and here is their response.
barrya1,
Thank you for writing us back.
This is Rachel and I am writing in response to your difficulty in Outlook
Express.
I suggest that you try to reset up your Hotmail account in Outlook Express.
The Hotmail feature that allows Hotmail messages to
appear in Outlook Express is in "beta", which means that service and support
for this feature is limited. The goal of our staff is
to provide you with the best e-mail experience possible.
For more in-depth support of the features and functionality of Outlook
Express, please contact Microsoft Product Support Services
(PSS).
For support information such as phone numbers, no-charge eligibility, and
hours of operation in the U.S., go to:
http://support.microsoft.com/directory/directory/phonepers.asp
For support information outside the U.S. and Canada, contact your local
subsidiary. Phone numbers for Microsoft Subsidiaries can change. For the
most recent listing, go to the Support Online Web site at:
http://support.microsoft.com/support/
If there is no Microsoft subsidiary office in your country, contact the
establishment from which you obtained your Microsoft product.
If you continue to encounter a problem with Outlook Express, send us another
message with a detailed description. Let us know the exact steps you are
using and where the process fails. Also include the exact text of any error
messages that you receive.
If you have any other inquiry, please fell free to send me another email.
Remember that MSN Hotmail also has comprehensive online help available--just
click "Help" in the upper right corner.
I apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused you and thank you
for your patience and continued support of Hotmail.
Sincerely,
Rachel V.
