Hi Siva

You could try Tools>Options>Spelling & Grammar>Dictionaries and see if
the Custom.dic selection box is checked, if not select it and see if
this resolves the problem

I had posted this problem a few weeks back, but did not get any
advice, so I am writing again.
All of a sudden I notice that while doing a spell check,
the button for adding is greyed out.
  I shall appreciate advice on how to restore this ability.
