I face this sort of problem regularly. The answer is to use the 'Tools,
Services' menu option and add a personal folder service to your outlook.
Browse to the .pst file you want to open, put in a descriptive title for
this .pst in the box where Microsoft suggests the title 'personal folder',
and click okay. Now you can drag and drop messages or folders from one .pst
to another that is your main outlook delivery folder.

We use exchange server with a space limit. Users are always creating or
removing locally stored .pst folders from their outlook. I keep no less
than 9. You can either minimize a .pst in the folder list, or remove it
altogether by going back to 'Tools,Services,' and removing the personal
folder service associated with the .pst file. Right Click on 'Outlook Icon,
Properties, Show Profiles' and create a new profile. Add personal folder
services to this new profile that have these seldom used .pst files
associated to the personal folder service. Then go into outlook, 'Tools,
Options, Mail services' and click on 'Prompt for a profile to be used'. Now
you can have access to these auxiliary .pst files without clogging up your
folder list. When I haven't used a particular .pst in a couple months, I
burn it to cd and erase it.

After several builds of Outlook on my computer over the past year or so...I
have about 5 .pst files...Some of these .pst files have info in them I would
like to have in my current .pst file...

If I import an older .pst file into my current .pst file...will it overwrite
the current .pst file or will it add the old info to the current file...
