As I don't use Word, I can only guess. I imagine somewhere in Word options
there is a setting which is telling Word to save all documents as
"Read-only". If so, you should be able to untick that option.

Or you might consider copying the Web document into some other location.
Maybe save it as a Web Page or as .html.
