I had a brief power loss while the computer was on. I lost the
dial up networking folder usually seen when opening "my
computer". I tried to reinstall this from the win 95-b cd.
However, I think I am missing something of importance.

When I create the new DUN connection (from the DUN folder) for
my isp and try to connect I can dial out and actually start the
handshake process. Instead of connecting I end up with the
following error message...

Error 720 - The Microsoft dial up adapter is not configured to
work with the current network configuration. Please check your
server type and the network configuration in the control panel
and try connection again.

Can anyone please give me an idea on where to start to
troubleshoot this problem? I have already tried to use the Win
95 help troubleshooter without result. I ran thru the entire
troubleshooting sequence and still have the problem.

I have Norton antivirus enabled. Is it possible that I
need to shut this off to make the install work?

Also I seem to recall having a way to create a whole new
internet connection where such items as ip addresses and user
name/password were keyed in. It's been two years since I did
anything with this. Did I imagine this or was it there? Do I
need to recreate the connection? If so how do I find the
required software?

Any help is sincerly appreciated and well thanked in advance.
