Hi Larry,

I think the easiest way is to use the Windows XP Files and Settings Transfer
Wizard. Not only can you transfer those items you mentioned, excluding
software, but a multitude of other things such as Display, Internet Explorer
and Windows Explorer, Outlook Express settings, and Cookies to name a few.
Software that you installed will need to be a new install on the XP
computer. Any documents, etc., created with that software can be saved to My
Documents or removable media for transfer.

You will need to create a wizard disk (3½ floppy), or use the wizard from
the Windows XP CD, to use on the old computer. The wizard will take you
through the procedure on both computers. Start the wizard on the XP computer
by going to Start \ Programs \ Accessories \ System Tools \ Files and
Settings Transfer Wizard. Good luck!
