Al:

The 255 character limitation is for text fields. For larger entries,
create a memo field. I'm not sure of the character limitation, but I
have a very large database with numerous tables that keeps track of bugs
and tips for numerous pieces of software, and have no problems storing
information such as Microsoft Knowledge Base articles.
