The front page of PCWeek, July 5 issue, has an article called "The Remaking
of Windows" that explains it well. Might try www.pcweek.com for an online
version.

Microsoft now has four completely different Windows products in
development.
And all are due for release sometime next year.
1. "WINDOWS 2000 PROFESSIONAL" which will replace NT Workstation.
2. "WINDOWS 2000 SERVER FAMILY" which will replace NT Server.
3. "WINDOWS CONSUMER" which will replace Windows 9x.
4. "WINDOWS CONSUMER NT" which is sooo new (according to Mr. Nichols) that
there is no information available at all.
