Jim -

How about your MY CONNECTION/SERVER TYPE settings. Last time I
fiddled with mine, I came up with the following:

"enable software compression" checked
"TCI/IP" (only) checked, with the following TCI/IP settings:
        "server assigned IP Address"
        "server assigned name server addresses"
        "use IP hearer compression"
"use default gateway on remote network"

Also, what is the maximum speed your port is set on, mine is
115,200.

This is all kind of shot-in-the-dark, as I don't have a good feel
for your problem. Is the onlt detectable difference when you are
doing traceroutes?
How are you doing the traceroutes? Any chance the packet size
got changed?

Let me know, I love puzzles.

Jim,

Thanks for the tip.
iSpeed definitely increased my download speed --- by almost
double!

BUT ....
it had no affect on my latency problem.
There is still a huge lag time as evidenced by Traceroutes to
various web
sites (even to my ISPs server)
