Under Outlook Express Menu:  Tools, Options, Security (tab), there is a box to check or uncheck that says "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus"  

Well, nearly every attachment could POTENTIALLY be a virus.  You pretty much can't open attachments at all if you have that box checked.

Could you please tell me how to open up items on Outlook Express.  I not only can't open attachments, but (example) if I am looking at the news, can read the headlines, but can't open the story.   Thanks so much.
