I don't keep up with all the latest changes in AOL software, but as far as I
know, it does not have the ability to change/convert the type of file. Nor
does any other web browsing software. The file is what it is.
When your friend points to a graphic and clicks the options to save OR save
as, it will only let him save in the native format of what the file is. If
the file is not a JPG, then he will not be able to save it as a JPG.
HOWEVER, once he saves it, he can use a graphics editor (like Paint Shop
Pro) to convert the file to the JPG format.
