Basically, this is an intro to C/C++ programming course.  It shouldn't be so
hard, except considering a few of the Unix commands.  You would have to go
through this course anyway before you started programming for Windows. Get
http://www.delorie.com/djgpp/ for a great free compiler and go to
http://pbs.mcp.com for some great free books about Unix and C++ programming.
