Al,

Ian is correct in that RealPlayer is needed to open/play a '.ram' (RealMedia
Metafile). However, if all you want to do is play the file, I suggest you go
to the RealPlayer archives here
http://forms.real.com/real/player/blackjack.html and get one of the older
versions (G2, 7 or 8 Basic) to avoid the spyware, RealDownload Express,
etc., in the free RealOne player (Note: RealCom may have cleaned up their
act since the last report I saw).

Subject: [PCSOFT] What opens .ram file?

Hi all,

While trying to listen to a local radio station via a link on their site, I
was given the
opportunity to open (with) a .ram file. I tried using Windows Media Player,
MusicMatch Jukebox, and
IrfanView but they wouldn't open the file. Since it's supposed to be live,
when given the choice, I
chose "open this file from its present location" rather than "save this file
to..."

Any ideas what might open this file running Win ME? Thanks in advance...
