From what I read here, PowerPoint appears to be looking for a codec
(COmpressor-DECompressor).
However, you say the clips open in Media Player, which would seem to
indicate that the codecs are
available in your OS. Have you tried saving the clips as Media Player
objects, then inserting those
objects in the presentation, to be played by Media Player? That is the
technique I would try, to start
with. If this doesn't work, I would do a Google search for "vids:dsvd
decompressor" (with the quotes),
and download/install it, if found.
