I have developed a problem on my PC whereby the floppy disk drive locks up the machine when double clicking its icon in My Computer. The only way to get out of this is to Ctrl Alt Delete. The results show stimon is not responding. If I end this as a task everything returns to normal with the floppy.

I am not sure what Microsoft's Still Image Device Monitor does but the knowledge base seems to indicate it is something to do with USB instalations.

I am not using any USB equipment.

OS is Windows 98SE
Chip is a 650 Athlon
Memory is 128meg
