Ron,
I recently had the Java.ByteVerify vires/trojan and these are the
instruction tech support where I work gave me and it worked;
1.  Turn off system restore.
2.  Double click on JAVA in Control Panel and at the bottom of the General
tab, under the Temporary Internet files section click the Delete Files
button.
3.  Close all applications and reboot.
4.  Check for Viruses again.
5.  If all is clean, turn system restore back on .
