Hi everyone, I need some advice.

I want to program web pages to work with databases, to insert/update/delete
data and specially to perform queries and searches. I would like to be able
to perform queries by using an x number of combo boxes to filter data, and
then use keyword searchs in the selected records.

I have programmed in C++ and Visual Basic, but never web programming. I
would like to hear your comments about which web programming language should
I learn (and why). If you know some good books I would appreciatte you
mentioning them.

Many thanks.

Cesar Mendoza

PD: Compatibility is important, please keep that in mind when answering,
thanks again.
