In my opinion, at best you'll only find Shareware, Demo, or Trial software
for what you want. Presently, I'm waiting for Roxio to update my Easy CD
Creator Platinum, but until Roxio, Nero, your CeQuadrat, and others update
their software, why not use XPs built-in CD software? It's by Roxio
(Adaptec). You can copy to CD-R and CD-RW disks in multiple sessions and the
CD-RW disk doesn't have to be formatted... and is erasable. Look for "CD" in
"Help and Support" for details. It works fine with my Sony CD-RW and the
CD/files are readable (as "Read only") in my other computer's CD-ROM and
CD-RW running Millennium.

That would take care of your back-ups. You didn't mention what type of CDs
you wanted to create... I haven't tried it yet but Windows XP Media Player 8
will create an audio CD. Good luck.

Subject: CD Burner Software?

I recently installed WindowsXP and it will now accept my CeQuadrat "Just
Burn It" software.  So I am not able to backup or create any new CD's.  I
have contacted  The manufacturer  "Compaq"  (they said to tell Microsoft)and
Microsoft ( They said to tell Compaq).  So I am looking for a good freeware
software to us with XP.  Any help would be appreciated.
